Social visit

As a part  of B.Ed curriculum,wee 1st year students visited a social Institute in Punalur, Deena Bhavan 

Deena Bhavan located near to the punalur hanging bridge, famous spot in punalur. 

The working of the institution is under the Missionaries of Charity, headquarters in Kolkata. We group of Physical Science and the natural science students  and Sheeja miss reached there at 9:15 a.m. the place he is really calm and quiet. Currently there are fifty inmates, there also included females with psychic problems. 

Deena Bhavan in punalur started on 30. 01.1999, at that time  there was male and female inmates. from 2001, this place was changed to a shelter for females.

There were inmates from different states of India, some of them are hindi speaking, and some tamil people were there. Every one was really energetic and they joined us in programs,and they sang for us,they danced with us. We spent some good time with them and after 11:45 they were taken for food. At that time the social worker,Devu told us about the history and daily activities and everything about Deena Bhavan and  then we took photos with mother.
